So, using manage_changeProperties() doesn't work?

Trick is to pass the title as well.

Try

manage_changeProperties(title=someVariable)

where someVariable can be defined for example:

<dtml-call "REQUEST.set('someVariable', 'Hello World')">

Furthermore, if you issue the following:

manage_changeProperties()

As long as you prevously define the properties you want to change and they are in the REQUREST variable, they will be "automatically" updated, the ones you do not define, won't
