Indeed it does. As a result, it doesn't help at all for O-R mapping. I've heard that PJE's DataSkins (part of ZPatterns) have features which make them useful for O-R mapping, though I haven't looked at them.

although i haven't looked at the source. chris m's Interbase storage might be worth a look (it probably stores everything as a BLOB which might not be helpful).
