Server crash when accesed by KFM (KDE) in manage mode
Server RedHat 6.0 i386 on a Pentium, 64 Mb machine Zope latest stable release 1.10. 3 Performs fine when accessed by Netscape but server crashes when tried to access Zope with KFM (KDE browser) in manage mode. Had to ./stop and ./start again the server. I'm not saying that KFM is complete and it should work with it but I think that the server should not crash even accessed by an incomplete developed browser. If I had to do anything in order to make it stable, please Cc: to teo@flex.ro (since I'm not on the list yet) Best regards, -- Constantin Teodorescu FLEX Consulting Braila, ROMANIA

How in hell did you access the manage interface from KDE? I've tried, but KFM doesn't support authentication, so I just get the Permission Denied traceback. :(
(And no, Zope2.0.0b1 did not crash :) ) Andreas -- Andreas Kostyrka | andreas@mtg.co.at phone: +43/1/7070750 | phone: +43/676/4091256 MTG Handelsges.m.b.H. | fax: +43/1/7065299 Raiffeisenstr. 16/9 | 2320 Zwoelfaxing AUSTRIA

I said that "I tried to access" :-) not that I succeeded! Probably it's a problem with my installation. I knew that KFM don't support authentication but I pressed by mistake on a link that guides me to the managing screens. OK than. I have received two advices that I should use Zope 2.0.b1 even if it's beta, it's more stable. Thanks everybody. Zope is a fine piece of software. The only problem (for me) is that I have to do a lot of guesses and search after DTML syntax. The DTML user guide isn't perfect for the moment.
