DigiCool Attribution
Hello! Is there any simple way I can satisfy Attribution, as it stated in Zope License? It's say: "web site must provide attribution by placing the accompanying "button" and a link to the accompanying "credits page" on the website's main entry point." Would it be enough if I create a button pointing to a copy of copyright (as on manage_copyright screen)? I think there should be standard tag for this, like standard_html_header: <!--#var standard_digicool_attribution type="image"--> or such... Actually, that is now optional. So, no 6'13" 270lbs license lawyer is going to steal your childeren if you don't put it in the right place anymore. ;-) Mike. I want to provide attribution even if not forced to do so. Zope looks good, although I am in the very beginning of learning it. Oleg. ---- Oleg Broytmann National Research Surgery Centre http://sun.med.ru/~phd/ Programmers don't die, they just GOSUB without RETURN.
[attribution suggestion deleted] Oleg, the latest license removes the requirement for attribution. It does, however, highly encourage it :-) Thanks.

Version 1.10.0 prerelease 1 has a builtin method 'ZopeAttributionButton' which is used in the standard_html_footer. At the same time, the License that comes with the prerelease drops the attribution, because Zope is now OpenSource. More information on this can be found online at http://www.zope.org/License I don't know if the current version of the License, 0.9.7, applies to Zope 1.9.0 though, but think it does. Check with DC about this. The Credits page mentioned it http://www.zope.org/Credits -- M.J.
