I am new to the open source world and am contemplating developing a web based service based on Zope and attempting to understand the licensing requirements. Can anybody outline in simple statements ( or point to a resource that can explain) the Zope license ? -- is it viral? If I develop something using Zope what requirements, obligations do I have to supply source for that development?

Felicitations ! You've just been granted the "Troll-of-the-Year" award ! in short: 1 - You can develop proprietary software with Zope. 2 - You must include a link to Zope's web site on your website's homepage. 3 - 2 is optional depending on certain conditions (read the license) hoping this answers your question. Remember: No license is viral, only some special malicious software is. bye, Jerome Alet

Well I guess it is nice to win something. My post was not intended as a troll or a poke though but as a serious question.
