I'm lost. I have a folder, channels, and inside that, an RDF Summary object named slashdot: <dtml-let channel="slashdot"> <dtml-with "channels[channel]"> etc... </dtml-with> </dtml-let> This results in "Global name 'slashdot' is not defined." An interesting aside: if I try <dtml-with "channels.[channel]"> the source will refuse to save, I get "page not found" when I click Save Changes. Another way to set a variable within the current DTML is to use <dtml-let>.

Very close, try: <dtml-let channel="'slashdot'"> <dtml-with "channels[channel]"> etc... </dtml-with> </dtml-let> Everything in "" is Python, and since you wanted to make a variable equal to the string `slashdot', you have to put single quotes around that literal string.
