Re: [Zope] Unanswered questions...
Here are the two How-to's which helped me get zope running in remote user mode: http://www.zope.org/Members/jephte/HOWTO/IIS_and_Zope_in_REM OTE_USER_mode and http://www.zope.org/Members/brianh/iis_howto The first one is written in both French and English; scroll down towards the bottom and you will find the English version (unless you want to try your French out!) Also, check out jcNTUserFolder at http://www.zope.org/Members/jephte/jcNTUserFolder. That product seems to be working pretty good for me. The authentication works fine for me; however, I haven't been able to view the .gif's correctly. Hope this helps... Andrew -----Original Message----- From: J. Hey....got a question for you...Andrew. You mentioned that you had IIS authenticating users. I just wanted to ask if you stuck with the "How to" procedures at zope.org to do it? I am trying to do the same with another web server, I believe a lot of IIS was modeled from in the beginning, Website Pro. (the win- cgi aspects were created by the WebSite creator, Bob Denny at Orielly) I'm wondering if you found that the problem was just getting NT to authenticate users. I guess these are NT user accounts that need to be set up for remote administration. I've been told to get WebSite people to help me with this but I seem be failing miserably. I've posted a lot of what i call exciting reasons to do this on the Website group and so far have been met with silence. I imagine they will soon tell me to get on topic. Lets see... One question is getting zope and IIS to behave correctly together. I had it setup where IIS did the authentication, Zope running in remote user mode (?), and everything authenticated correctly. The problem I ran into was viewing the management screens; the .gif's were not rendering correctly. In addition, IE 5.0 was displaying the tree in the left frame, but not the management screens in the right frame.
Second question dealt with <dtml-tree branches_exp="some_sql_statement" leaves="dtml_method>. I patched the treetag.py file, but expand_all=1 does not expand the leaves. I'm not sure if this is intended or is a bug.
Thanks,
Andrew
