Is there a mirror for www.zope.org?
I'd like to download the 2.0b3 package, but haven't been able to connect all day long. Traceroute doesn't make it to the server either (it looks like it gets a hop away). Does anyone know of someplace else where I could get the files? If not, does anyone know when the Zope site will be back up?
Expect some announcements in the next week on this. We've got a whole new bag of tricks that we're going to be showcasing with the final release of 2.0. If you think ZClasses was cool, wait till you see ZEO. :-) And no, no telling what it is :-) Chris -- | Christopher Petrilli Python Powered Digital Creations, Inc. | petrilli@digicool.com http://www.digicool.com

I'm not sure how to interpret this in the context of my message. Does this mean that the website will be down for the next week? Does it mean I shouldn't bother getting the new beta? Does it mean the beta isn't even available any longer? Could you explain this a bit more? You don't have to tell us what Zeo is, but if you could give me an idea of when the site will be back online I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Jason Jones jason_j@countermedia.org
hi jason, i doubt the sluggishness or even unreachability of the zope website you seem to be experiencing is due to some overload problem at www.zope.org. it works beautifully for me. maybe your upstream isp has some issues? Jens Vagelpohl Systems Administrator Washtenaw Development Council

No, Remember Versions? The web site will just morph before your eyes! BTW: the new version is available and it is great! Cheers, Anthony Pfrunder

I just wish I could get it. It turns out the problem I'm having is with UUNET. They have a router down, so basically anything coming out of my area and going to a 209 prefix is hosed. Unfortunately, there is no ETA for when the problem will be fixed, and the router has been out for 2 days already. Again, if anyone knows of the beta and other zope related software being posted elsewhere, let me know. Otherwise I guess I'll just wait until UUNET gets its act together. Anyone having trouble getting the latest Zope may want to try: http://4-am.com/getzope I only have the source tarball available, since that's all I use. Evan Simpson
