RE: [Zope] existing groupware products on zope
yes - i have looked at plone ... it seemed less of an application than a website construction kit but i don't know yet - i'm wainting for my plone book to arrive (i will use plone fo rother projects anyway). if i was to develop a groupware system with plone it seems like i would actually have to do some developping. unlikr the existing solutions such as phpprojeckt, egroupware, phpgroupware, etc .. thanks fro the suggestion though -----Original Message----- From: David Hassalevris [mailto:bluepaul@earthlink.net] Sent: 19 July 2004 19:20 To: Tariq Rashid; zope@zope.org Subject: Re: [Zope] existing groupware products on zope Tariq, Have you looked at Plone? Plone runs on top of Zope and can be found at www.plone.org David ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tariq Rashid" <tariq.rashid@uk.easynet.net> To: <zope@zope.org> Sent: Monday, July 19, 2004 8:57 AM Subject: [Zope] existing groupware products on zope
i couldn't find any existing groupware products which run over ziope... similar to egroupware or opengroupware.org. something that has the usual items such as "files, links, projects, calanders, mailing lists, ..."
zope is ideal to build such user-centric groupware and project managemebt applications and i must be missing where they are.
i want to avoid using apache/mysql/postgresql when Zope already is running with capacity to spare.
