My reasons, anyway:

- - The request is private to the foundation members, at this point.

- - "Survey" is probably the wrong word:  we actually *want* discussion,
  rather than "voting".

- - Learning yet-another-webservice to set this up was harder than
  writing an email.

We may be asking for a vote in the upcoming annual general meeting, based
on the discussion.
