After doing some work with the reference, I agree. There are too many
special things, a generator can not include.

Sorry, the last three weeks I was completely busy with nasty, self-made
admin-UI bugs. Just checked in some more directive-descriptions. So,
this chicken is not dead ;-)

Well, you just did it.

As Baiju mentioned the the LaTeX-or-reST-problem: I would be glad to try
to port the reference to reST (already suggested that some time ago).
This would be done in a separate branch until it works as we like. Any
objections?
