FYI, I did some work on it recently. So, it is not completely stuck. It 
made me realise though I would very much like to be able to use ReST indeed.

Its a tedious task frankly, writing the reference in a consice and 
consistent manner, but it needs to be done obviously. I intend to 
continue to contribute in this area, but it will be only small steps I 
can make.
