I made note of this before: the new grokproject versions will not be 
able to create projects < 1.0.2 anymore. Not sure how to prevent people 
from actually trying.

Could you maybe try:

   grokproject --grokversion=1.1.1

and/or

   grokproject --grokversion=1.0.2

To see if that works? Sorry for the confusion.
