Thanks! Please just focus on the initial thing to get the ZF signed up
again, don't take too much
hay on your fork as we say in Dutch. :)

On the student end we should do some evangalization (blog entries,
etc) to attract them to our project and write
nice proposals. We should collaborate again on this list and a wiki.

This year I want to be sure we really have all students signed up on
this list. I think this list was underutilized this week.

I think the most important thing for us is to write a bunch of mentor
guidelines. The mentors can then pass along the necessary bit to the
students. The students should also have an official contact person
appointed by the ZF who they can contact if there's any problem (maybe
mentor fell off the internet, say), and some indication of what we
expect mentors and students to do.

One important thing for both the mentors and the students to do is to
post regular updates to this mailing list. I think we want to require
some blog entries as well.

I think we should also organize three general IRC meetings: at the
start of the project, in the middle, and near the end.

Finally I think we should require the mentors and students to have
intensive contact, voice or irc, once a week, for an hour or so.

That's my brain dump about how to go about organizing this better.

Regards,

Martijn
