One thing I've been toying with is the idea of letting keywords be
hierarchical, like this:
/sports/basketball/redbulls
/news/international/europe
	/client/ibm
	/users/smb
They would in essence define a location in a categorization hierarchy,
and the location could be used in many ways --e.g. /users/smb could mean
it's related to users classified at SMB, which would be useful for
personalization; /client/ibm would be visible to ibm on the extranet;
/sports/basketball would be visible in the sports channel; etc. Content
could belong to many locations, much like Yahoo. Vignette has a
two-level deep category:keywords concept, but this seems much more
flexible. Imagine a cool tree-based browser letting users select
keywords. :)

I wonder, could an advanced implementation handle assigning
multiple keywords to the Subject simply by selecting an
appropriate location within a heirarchy? I've found that
people are better at sticking things in the appropriate
category/sub-category than at selecting appropriate
keywords. Selecting more than one location could result in
the appropriate keyword lists being ANDed together with
duplicates removed.

Just an idea,
