I got this in a non-MS context.

It's because the M$ apps try to open the file using WebDAV GETs, which you probabyl haven't allowed
for anonymous users.

God knows why they try this, all I know is that, in my case, when I enabled "WebDAV Access" for
Anonymous, this problem went away...
