[Zope-PTK] CMF Install Problems

Brad,

I experienced similar confusion on a win98 install. Here is what I did:
   
1. Use WinZip to decompress the .gz file. It will prompt you for a save
location something like CMF-1.0beta_tar, which can be a bit confusing. Call
it CMF-1.0beta.tar.

2. Using WinZip again, untar CMF-1.0beta.tar to your the Products folder of
your Zope installation. The path is something on the order of
zope/lib/Python/Products.

3. Look in your products folder. I don't remember exactly how it worked, but
depending on how you untar it, you will either see a CMF-1.0beta folder, or
three folders, CMFDefault, CMFCore, and CMFTopic. If you have the
CMF-1.0beta folder, move its contents up into the Product folder. If you
have the three folders in your products folder, you should be good to go.

4. I think you have to restart Zope from the Control Panel.

5. Enjoy the power of Zope!
