Please forward to any who may be interested...
The Greens (Western Australia) are looking for quotes from web developers to design and implement a new web site based on Zope and CMF. The site is to be hosted (as it is currently) on the Zope server at GreenNet (http://www.green.net.au). We do not anticipate the site to take a great deal of work on the technical side as it would be based on well-established Zope packages. However we need the site done quickly and are asking for quotes to be submitted _before Friday_.
Overview of our needs for the website:
To develop and implement a graphical interface for the Greens (WA) web site that is consistent throughout the site.
To replace the pages with the new template ( approx 60 pages)
To place additional information on the site (approx 15 pages)
Implement appropriate technologies to enable regular updating of the site, including adding pages, by Greens (WA) staff and volunteers.
Implement appropriate technologies to enable the site to be fully searchable and indexed.
Implement appropriate technologies to enable the Greens (WA) to make use of E-Commerce facilities (eg. BizarShop as hosted by GreenNet).
The web developer needs to be available immediately.
We would prefer:
A clean and consistent design based on minimal graphics and effective use of CSS (to enable faster loading times);
Adherence to current web standards, eg. HTML 4 or XHTML 1;
No Flash, Java or Javascript except in non-essential parts of the site - ie. having them disabled should not 'break' the site;
That the site be accessible to people with disabilities
If you are interested in taking this on, or need more information, please contact me ASAP on mobile: 0439 955 659 or email: secretary@wa.greens.org.au
If you send a quote please include examples of your previous work.
