Hmmm... that kinda makes sense though, if something barfs, do you really want to
be logged in? I find this a little strange though, maybe a ZC head could give a
reason/explanation...

I don't really agree with that. Since you can now handle authentication errors
with a custom standard_error_message, which was my only real beaf with Zope 2
exception handling, i don't really see a problem now...
