[Zope-CMF] Why aren't the 'skinpath_<skin>' properties 'lines' instead of 'text'?

I'm just curious if there's a reason why the 'skinpath_<skin>'
properties aren't 'lines' instead of 'text' ..

To me, a textarea with one layer per line, with the higher-precedence
layers on top, would have provided a widget that's actually usable TTW.
Keeping track of where you are scrolling left & right in a text field
of 70 chars is hard ..
