This is caused by a change in the presentation of one of the standard
exceptions, which this test mistakenly relies on.  To make this test
work in both Python 2.2.x and 2.3.x, it needs to be completely
re-written.

I'm glad to fix this, but don't know when I'll have time; the
priorities aren't up to me.  I'll add it to my to-do list for now.
