Well, BSCW shows it in the web interfaces, e.g. 
"updated by xxx at yyy" and you can commit it via a button.

And you have the possibility to get an email once a day with
a summary of modifications.

Someone else told me also. Unfortunately when trying to install it it did
not work. But I will try again :)
