As Ethan said, the release you are using doesn't yet support access to
defined variables in python.
Instead, try the following:
<div tal:define="ui python:container.userInfo()">
<b tal:replace="ui/dn">crap</b>
<b tal:replace="ui/sn">crap</b>
<b tal:replace="ui/cn">crap</b>
</div>
It will be much more readable, and it removes a layer of interpretation
too.
