Last time I looked, Mason was a pretty lightweight framework where you end up 
doing a lot of the work yourself (authentication, workflow, etc)

Zope is pretty heavweight, and combined with the CMF gives you loads of stuff 
out of the box.

They're both a lot less user friendly than they could be, IMHO ;-)
