[Zope-PAS] problem with groups

Hi,

what's the use case for groups in PAS ?

I created a PAS Userfolder with the three plugins ZODB-User/Group/Role - 
Manager (everything activated).
I assigned one user to an newly created group. The group was assigned 
one role from the ZODBRoleManager.

The user still has no access to objects which were granted to the role.
If i directly assign the role to the user everything is fine.

What's wrong with either the setup or with my point of view ?
