Sure, I agree. But that, as mentioned, is even more complicated than 
redirect, so... If we can solve this, we can solve the redirect too.

And, in any case, redirect is still needed, even if the in-place page 
gets used more. CAS for example requires a redirect. So the use case is 
still there.
