[Zope] - MultiUser Gadfly

I am interested in using Gadfly as a backend to Zope. I am planning to have a
non zope background process write data into Gadfly and have a Zope process
retrieve and display this data at the same time. Is this possible to do with
Gadfly?

Does Gadfly have to use client server mode?

Does Zope support this type of activity?
