Hmmm...
I'm Canadian and I'm pretty sure that the British pronounce 'Z' and 'S'
differently (in words and in naming the letter). The British pronounce the
letter 'zed' while the Americans use 'zee', but both produce the same sound
when using the letter. In any case there is no mistaking 'S' and 'Z' from
either Americans or British.
Personally, I think "Zope" is a cool sounding name.
