[Zope] UserDB with cookies not working

Hi, I have UserDB working successfully with standard basic
authentication.

But after going into the properties and switching to cookie
authentication it does not work. Now when I try to access a
propected page it just skips authentication and shows the page.
And if I switch back to standard basic authentication then
reload the page, it pops up a login dialog box.

can anyone help?
