[Zope] New to zope

Look at the "How To Build a Searchable Job Board" tutorial.  It is a how to 
located on Zope.org and will give you a lot of the basics such as basic dtml, 
working with Catalogs, ZClasses, searching ZCatalog, Working with reports, 
etc.  It does work.
