So... you're going to provide content I guess.  Zope can manage 
content.  Not sure what the other requirements a golf magazine might be.

A development process I'd recommend is:

1. Define your requirements.
2. Become familiar with your tools.
3. Give it a try.
4. Ask for help with specific difficulties.

Work through the rest of the book and spend some time playing around with 
Zope.  Build the Zope Zoo or try some other semi-trivial project.  Then 
apply what you're learning to the bigger project at hand.  It will be far 
easier to help you when you get to the point of having specific questions.
