[Zope] SQL abstraction layer for the ZopeDB ?

I realize the zope database is not an relational database. Still I wonder 
if there exists a Database Adapter which emulates this. The point is, that 
I currently would like to use the Zope database for storing my data, but I 
would like to have the possibiliy to maybe later change to a relational 
database. This change would be much easier if there existed an Database 
Adaptor which stored the data in the zope database.
