[Zope] How can I save variables in a session

Hi, I'm traying to save some variables using:

<dtml-call "REQUEST.SESSION.set('usuario', username)">
<dtml-call "REQUEST.SESSION.set('tipo_cliente', tipo_cliente)">

But it is not working, when i look at the responce of:

<dtml-var REQUEST>

I can't find any of the variables there, what am i doing wrong this time?
