In the INSTALL.txt for Zope 2.6.4 it says

Important Notes

ZOPE 2.6 Requires PYTHON 2.1.X
Note: Using Python 2.2 is not recommended and not supported.

It says nothing for 2.3.3

I don't know whether zope can run on 64 bit m/c but


Zope 2.6.4 uses python 2.3.3 not 2.1.3 so try recompiling and running zope
with
proper python version it might work.
