[Zope] Customising APE to a new database

Hi,
  I am aware that APE (which uses ZOPE) has support for MySQL and 
Postgresql. Can someone guide me on customising it to add a new database. I 
am interested in the codes in APE that need to be changed so that a new 
database can be added on to APE's horizon.
