Probably best to ask on zodb-dev at zope.org and specify if you want to do 
this as a one-off or as something you need to do/use/display in a ttw 
user interface...

Some of hte ZODB analysis tools are where I'd head, but they aren't 
really good for getting the value back into a zope UI ;-)
