I use a setup like this:

RewriteRule ^/plone(.*)
Localhost:7777/VirtualHostBase/http/www.domain.ext:80/VirtualHostRoot/$1[L,P]
RewriteRule ^/(.*) /usr/local/www/static.html.location$1 [L]
