Here at the hotel in Raleigh. Just dialed in to get my blast of Zope messages. I propose that no one send email while I'm on the road :^) Jim, Brian, and I came down today and setup the booth, then did a quick demo for Hadar when he showed. Everything worked awfully well. The portal toolkit demo out to go over very, very well. It's exciting stuff. The PR folks have lined up four interviews so we out to be pretty busy. We're just across from Penguin Computing's booth and helped the guy unpack their refrigerator-sized, >$100k, 8 processor Xeon behemoth. I'm going to be him to let us run Zope on the monster sometime during the show :^) Jeffrey, Michel, Ken, and Chris come down tomorrow. Everyone's done a great job on getting the software in good shape, compelling demos, good literature to hand out, etc. Michel and Chris took a gargantuan dataset from Amos (the RPM database as RDF) and uploaded it into a Z Table, just to show off. The little one had 13Mb and 3,000 records, and full-text searches took under a second. I'll be interested to see how the 200 Mb version does! Anyway, that's it for now. Expo starts tomorrow.
