A lot of work was done on ZODB3 after the Zope 2.6 release branch was
frozen. The ZODB3 beta cycle has been a little less conservative than
a typical Zope beta cycle. We were planning to sync up with Zope 2.7,
not 2.6.

I'l going away for a week now; I'll let Jeremy follow up.
