[Zope-DB] ZMySQLDA doen't find port other than 3306 ?

Spending a couple hours trying to build somthing that would have a pair
of Database Adaptors left me with this conclusion:

On 'localhost' MySQLDA does not make a connection to any other mysql db
except if it's running on port 3306 (default). I cannot connect to
another mysql server running on port 3307, for example. I didn't have a
chance to try it on remote hosts.

Is this correct ?  Where would I have to look up such a restriction
(didn't come wit the product).
