well, i am using the following bit of code:

  RESPONSE.setCookie('__ac', token, path='/', expires='0')  

where token is a valid authentication id (i could check that).

when i tried to set the domain to anything (empty string, hostname with &
without port, ip address with & without port), all browsers had problems
with the authentication...
