User Profile Code?

Hi, everyone. A few weeks ago, I posted on the list asking about implementing a user profile system. Paul responded, saying that I might want to wait as a "Member Profile System" was going to be released very soon. Unfortunately, my deadline is encroaching and I can find nothing about it, anywhere. I am _NOT_ complaining! I understand DC has priorities, but, can I stick my finger in the wind, here? Is this code still being worked on? Any ideas on when it will be released? I am more than willing to code my own, but I just hate reinventing wheels; my wheels are never as round as the other guys'. :^) jkh

getting object types?

I'm sure this must be easy, but I have been searching the lists and documentation for a couple of hours and could not find how to do it. What I want to do is get info from an HTML multiple-select list box that looks like: <select multiple Name="persons">  <option value="" >  </option>  </select> Unfortunately, if there is only a single item selected, RESPONSE.person is a string, and if multiple items are selected, it is a list. I want to use , but that does not work for string objects, so if a single value is selected, it bombs. I would not mind using an #if, but I cannot find the mechanism for finding the type of the RESPONSE.persons object. Any suggestions? --Jim Washington

Last I checked IE5 wasn't available for Linux :^) I just checked with Brian -- apparently there _MIGHT_ be other clients in the works but noone is really sure. This is certainly unfortunate because IE5's support for WebDAV is, erm, spotty. There is a command line client (sitecopy) which you can use to update, etc.. Hosting Considerations (Survey)

What are other Zopesters doing for ZOPE site hosting? *Looking for recommendations & experience Consider this a mini survey: There are two companies listed on the ZOPE site http://www.zope.org/Community/ZHP/ that do hosting: http://www.nexusweb.net/add.html They don't mention ZOPE on their web site that I could find. The link above mentions ColdFusion but not ZOPE. http://codeit.com/prodandserv.html Also no mention of ZOPE hosting on their web site that I could find. Are any zopesters hosting with either of these providers? CODEIT or NEXUSWEB or OTHER If so, what is your experience with them especially related to support? Good/Bad? How many others host their ZOPE sites on the same server? Are they providing services through Apache or ZServer or ? Is it your own complete ZOPE with your own /var/data.bbb ? *Instead of Above: Do you have a dedicated ZOPE server ONSITE or OFFSITE? If offsite, who do you use for hosting and how much does it Cost and what size pipe do they have to the internet? If Off Site, is access via telnet or FTP or Zope Web?
