ZPublisher.Client not handling multiple-value files

Hi, The following code snippet has some wierd behavior. -- url="http://example.com/test.cgi" file1="foo.txt" file2="bar.txt" from ZPublisher.Client import call call(url, x=['hello','world']) # sending a list works great call(url, x=open(file1)) # sending a file works great call(url, x=[open(file1), open(file2)]) #sending a list of files doesn't work right -- The third call will send a list containing ["<open file '/tmp/foo.txt', mode 'r' at 103b50>", "<open file '/tmp/bar.txt', mode 'r' at 1039e8>"] I checked out the code but couldn't see the problem. In the Zope-mail gateway I'm writing, I want to pass the attachments as a list of files. -Tony Lownds

At the moment email processing Yes, this would be an *excellent* idea, and would be a natural component used to implement bug-tracking systems, group memories, customer service response systems, and so forth. Zope's a powerful platform, and it makes sense to tie it into as many things as possible, so you have a unified means of accessing resources. For similar reasons, I really like Ty Sarna's idea of uploading data from a Pilot directly into a Zope database, and then writing Zope methods that would do things with it. As someone once said, "It is correspondingly argued that the right way to build reliable systems is to put all your eggs in one basket, after making sure that you've built a really *good* basket." Packaging

I have the following problems in Zope 2.0.0b3 (I never tried it on different versions): 1. Packing my DB setting the days to 1. Error Type: IOError Error Value: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/opt/Zope2/var/Data.fs' I am running Zope as root and the perms on Data.fs are 700. 2. I cannot create Z Search Interface Error Type: KeyError Error Value: ZQueryIds Are there any special objects required? 3. I cannot create a Zope catalog Error Type: KeyError Error Value: objectValues Are there any special objects required? 4. The actual ZClass objects can't be copied/moved (for a number of reasons that get pretty hairy). You *should* be able to copy/move *instances* of your ZClasses though - if not, can you send a copy of the actual traceback you are getting so we can look into it further? What kind of magic trick is required to copy and paste Z Class instances around in Zope 2.0.0b3? Hi, Jason You can do it via DTML. In KM|net News, I needed to add KMArticle objects based on input from the user... Jeff, I have zope 1.10.3 installed on a machine running windows nt Server system and i am going to install a linux Red Hat based system and MySql on another machine on the same local network. What steps i need to do to access the database on the linux machine using zope that is installed on the NT Machine ? Where i can find mysql's DA for win32 zope ? I am a beginner and if possible i would like some document examples for a better understand DataBases & Zope. Removing "unremoveable" items

When do you do when you've imported an old Zope 1.x database into a subfolder of a Zope 2.0 database and you want to delete redundant objects such as Control Panel, standard_error_message and so on? In a Zope 1.x installation I exported the complete root folder, then converted it to ZODB3 format using bbb.py, and then imported it into the Zope 2.0b3 installation. Now I sit here with things I cannot remove.
