Indirect calling of extensions?

Imagine I have a python extension, with zope id pyFetch def Fetch (self, href): ... I want to call this in a manner similar to:      But I get an error: Error Type: TypeError Error Value: not enough arguments; expected 2, got 0 So it seems to evaluate and call the extension without adding the parameters. I guess I need something like lambda in python. Can anyone help me please? Thanks, Glenn

Hello, I intend to get from fatbrain the e-matter edition of the Learning Python book. Can someone comment their experience with this format? The problem is that they mention that e-matter works only on windows platforms, and I want to know if it is possible to print the book so that I can use it while working my computer, which does not run windows. How to serve php from within Zope

Hi, I'm using Apache to serve my Zope pages. I want to serve up some PHP scripts as part of a page wrapped with Zope methods. How do I serve the contents in the /some/other/directory/for/PHP/scripts from within Zope? For example, I want to call index.php3 from within the index_html of a Zope folder and have the contents included in the place I make the call. Andres Corrada

DateTime Feb 29 error just in Netscape 4?

This is a bit odd. I have some image objects that display fine in IE 4, but in Netscape 4 I get a Zope error Invalid Date-Time String Tuesday, 29-Feb-00 17:53:59 The traceback ends with DateTime.py, line 848, in _parse. Is this a Y2K-leap error, or is something else going on here? I've checked two of these images and in both cases the date it is complaining about is on the 29th. And why only Netscape 4 and not IE? --RDM

Strange line in User.py

In lib/python/AccessControl/User.py I find the following lines: 368> _remote_user_mode=_remote_user_mode 369> _super=super 370> _nobody=nobody The line n.368 looks suspiciously different from the others, it seems kind of not doing anything. :^) Is this problematic, or just forgotten around?

Getting Press for ZOE

I submitted the ZOE announcement to /. and Devshed (www.devshed.com) I got back something from /. asking for more information and DevShed posted it under news. Hopefully it will be up on /. today. Hope the Zope.org servers are ready. :) There is also a Zope Discussion Board at DevShed (based on UBB) which is pretty quiet now. It might be a place to get people learning about Zope who are not going to be a part of mailing lists. J

Hi! I got a strange Error, but I can't find why this happend. I updated from Zope 2.0.3 to 2.0.6. Eddie, I seems from your traceback that the user you are using to _run_ your Zope process does not have permission to read some (or all) of the Zope files from the filesystem: > IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: > '/usr/local/bin/Zope-2.1.6-linux2-x86/lib/python/App/manage.dtml' You need to make sure that either you run Zope as the same user you used to install it, or change the filesystem permissions so that the user you are using has read access to all of the Zope files (and write access to the /var directory and any files in the /var directory).
