Dear Zpeople The "Powered by Zope" logo in the footer is slow to load for some reason, and I don't like the colour of it (nice, but not one the site I'm working on at the moment. Basically, where do I find the source for this:  Yes, I know that I can create my own, but why bother when one already exist. Yours truly, Peter

Restarting with NT

If I stop Zope as a service from NT's Service Manager or from the Zope management interface it seems to kick and scream while restarting. In the application log I see repeated errors stating the service could not start. These repeat until the application log is full. Zope appears to be running, but I have not yet learned how long it is cycling to start. The error series is essentially, "Starting Zope Service" , "Could not Start Zope Service" until the log is full. From there I'm not sure. Is this a known issue or am I missing a switch setting for start-up? This does not occur from reboot. Everything is as normal as I know normalcy. Thanks

Hi zopatistas, well... this is not a very important thing, but I would like to remove the picture "Powered by Zope" at the end of my Zope Pages... is it possible..? I though it was in the "standard html header" but it seems that it is not.......gasp... someone can help me?

Thanks Chris, Unfortunatly no, I have already try the new syntax (and a lot of other things). The problem is at the line : <dtml-var "_[_['id']]"> if I change this line with : <dtml-var "_['id']"> my tree works, expand, collapse well, and display the name of my objects, but I want to have the content in case the object name is 'PUBLIC_Doc'. It's why I have use the code <dtml-var "_[_['id']]"> in zope 1, 2 levels of _[, to get the content of the content of the variable id . I try also to use a external method to render the object -> same result. uploading from client PC in MySQL thru ZSQL

Hello, I'm trying to "import" a CSV text file for feeding a MySQL database. I have : * DTML method including : <form method="post" action="import" enctype="multipart/form- data"> <input type="file" name="loadFileAnnu"> <input type="submit" value="Import File in MySQL"> </form> * ZSQL method 'import' parameter : loadFileAnnu query template : LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE '<dtml-var loadFileAnnu>' INTO TABLE annuaire FIELDS TERMINATED BY ';' when i process the form, i always get the import/manage_testForm and if i try to upload the (local on my PC) file thru this, i get an MySQL error Error, _mysql.InterfaceError: (0, "File 'D:/AnnuaireTest.csv' not found (Errcode: 2)") SQL used: LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE 'D:/Data/SIT67/AnnuaireTest.csv' INTO TABLE annuaire FIELDS TERMINATED BY ';' Am i doing something wrong or is it impossible to load/import in MySQL from the local file (so i should upload the file on the server then load into MySQL) ?? NOTICE: issue with database packing in current Zope releases

Hi all, Jim found a problem with the algorithm for packing the Zope database that we wanted to announce so that folks can avoid being bitten by it until the fix is out (in b4). The gist of it is that you should not pack your database to a given time and then subsequently pack the database to an *earlier* time. For example, do not pack to "older than 0 days" and then pack to "older than 10 days". The algorithm in the current Zope releases doesn't handle this correctly and depending on the exact circumstances can end up getting rid of objects that it shouldn't in the packed version of the database. Note that if you _are_ inadvertantly bitten by this, you can recover by using the Data.fs.old in the /var directory that is created at pack time. MySQL Select Statements

Hi Everyone, Just need someone to put me straight here. When I use Select statements in an SQL Method I cannot simply : Select Column1, Column2 etc from TableA. Instead I must use the AS statement ie Select Column1 AS Column1, Column2 AS Column2 from TableA. Is this just an oddity with the MySQLDA/Db adapters or am I overlooking something blatantly obvious here? All the examples on zope.org don't have the extra "AS Column1" additions on them and I was wondering if this is a Zope/mySQL-unique thing. I'm using Zope (2.1.6) with MySQL (3.22.32) with Zope MySQL Database Adapter (ZMySQLDA) 2.0.0a1 and MySQLdb module release: 0.2.2 . Could someone please let me know as I don't want to have to type the extra bits on all my SQL statements from here on in if I don't need to (I am the world's worst and laziest typist). If it is the case that it's a necessary evil, then I want to put a HowTo or Tip up on zope.org because it took me a while to figure out what I was doing wrong, and if I can save someone else that same wasted time then I would like to. However I wanted to get my facts straight (via all you experts) first. Inheriting CatalogAware?

Hi, I have one question. I have a Class, say, BaseClass which is a subclass of CatalogAware and ObjectManager (in that order). I have a second class which is a subclass of BlaseClass. SecondClass should be fully CatalogAware, yes? Just have to know because if it is, my error lies elsewhere..... ;-) Thanks in advance, Nils
