I've previously been a Perl programmer. I did a lot of stuff where I would have multiple links with different options. Ex. <a href="/path/script.pl/1234">1234</a><br> <a href="/path/script.pl/2345">2345</a><br> Then, in script.pl, I would pick up the extra info on the other side from $PATH_INFO. The problem in Zope is that there is no "end" to the address. Serving from Apache, it knows that the .pl extension is the end of the path. If there's a '/' and more after it, it will push it to PATH_INFO. So how do you do this in Zope? Because it's object names instead of paths in the request, how do you send optional, additional info through the request as above? I know there has to be a way to easily do this, I just can't figure it out.

Zope is memory intensive?

Hi, i have installed Zope on a RH6 box, and looking at the processes, Zope(running as 'python') consumes abt 20% of the memory usage! A single apache daemon only takes abt 9-10%. How to deactivate HTML tags ... (??)

Hi! I've a problem. I'm working on an address collection and I don't want html tags to work. e.g someone enters html tags in the name field. How can I deactivate or remove them? TIA Wolfgang

Newbie question: User Folder

I'm going through the Zope Content Manager's Guide(on zope.org) and i came across this 'User Folder' section that i have a few questions on. e.g. Let's say we have 4 folders: ZACme/Marketing/Sales/FrontDesk Sally is defined as manager in 'Marketing'. I understand that her role is 'acquired' in Sales and FrontDesk, but not in ZAcme, therefore she would be able to make changes in Sales and FrontDesk folders. My question is, can we 'turn off' this acquired role and do not allow Sally to access Sales(but allow her to access FrontDesk, and Marketing of course)? Or must we assign a different role to her? Urgent Problem -> CMG - script is not working

Hallo, I've got an urgent problem. I' like to add websites by using forms which decide about the new content( upload a logo, new text,etc.). I know that's described in the CMG but the builder-script is not working. "Invalid syntax". The most import thing is to be able to clone an object and then to change the propertys. Please mail me a version that's working because tomorrow I have to show it to my boss. Thanks!!!

Error loggin in as acl user

Hi, I added an acl user as a manager. But it does not accept the password when I log in. Zope 2.2.0 does not allow the superuser to do anything :( I can't add a mailhost unless I log in as another user. Please help...my CEO has a gun to my head.
