trouble with monitor_client

I can't connect with monitor client. My password is in cleartext and I'm calling monitor_client as root. I'm running zope 2.4.2 / python 2.1 on a Debian woody/sid installation. No module named Splitter

Wondering if anyone else has run into this. Our main installation runs Zope 2.4.1. I installed zope 2.4.3 on a new box from source, installed the appropriate packages, moved over my data.fs and started zope. Zope starts, but it has problems importing: StandardCacheManagers PythonScripts All the tracebacks boil down to: ImportError: No module named Splitter Hmm, I watched that very module compile during the installation of zope and .../zope/lib/python/SearchIndex/Splitter.so. exists. Since this is a source install, I am running with the stock 2.1 python that comes with python. Anyone have any ideas? dtml-sendmail error with pine

Hello, this email is sent from a dtml document, with the dtml-sendmail tag. I have followed the instructions in the zope book and some examples in this mail list, but the viewing of attached file doesn't work with my pine email client !! It works well with kmail, but no with pine, so I suppose that the format of the message is not 100% correct. Attached is a pdf document.

Converting HTML to StructuredText (and the reverse)

I'm interested in converting HTML to StructuredText (and back again). The "back again" part is pretty easy, although I don't want headers to be <H1>, I want them to be <p class="h1">. If you can give me any hints about that I'll be grateful. Is it possible without subclassing the current classes? Anyway: The big issue is converting from HTML to StructuredText. I can't find any classes that does this today, if anybody have any code for doing this or can point me to some I'd be very happy. Thanks!

odd zope behavior -- variable size limits?

I've got a calculation engine written in C, extending python. I've noticed that nearly every time I try to run a calculation using it, via http://www.thuban.org/astro, apache complains that it can't reach the zope host (error 502). This happens with the Get Poly function in particular, though the Get Coords function also suffers. Given time, a refresh will pull up the results. I suspect the pages are eventually cached, and it is that cache which I access. I'm trying to figure out how best to solve this dilemma. The process for Get Poly works like this, using external methods which act as stubs to the C extension: *call dataset cruncher (internal to the cruncher, get big uber dataset [~100k, more or less], perform calculations that run about 10secs or less, and then pass back roughly 20 numbers as a result) *call result verifier (repeat the above, comparing the original dataset against the results from the last step, which are a least-squares polynomial fit, and return the rms and maximum errors) .. then display the results. I notice that there's a lot of disk activity when this process starts up. I'm wondering if it's always reloading the dll file, or if apache's too impatient, or what. The platform is a Win2k Server, with roughly 200M+ free at any given moment. The database is an MSDE/SQL Server database being accessed through ODBC. ---------- Keith J.
