How do I integrate zope with apache

Hey there, I'm using linux 8.0 with KDE Desktop. I've got zope running on a medusa server at the moment, the one it came with. I've also got an apache server running and I was wondering how I can integrate the zope interface to be used with my linux apache server. I'm a total linux nub so go easy on me . ~Mosquito

Zope Server on Linux

Hello everyone, I'm new to LINUX, ZOPE, PYTHON, and this mailing list. I have a ZOPE server running on Linux and I'm trying to get my forums to work. They require PHP and mySQL both of which I have but I'm not sure how to install them into my ZOPE server. Any suggestions? ~Mosquito

Zope Win32 service (was RE: [Zope] Binary Compatibility)

Lukas, It doesn't appear to be the case if you're running Zope under Windows. Uninstalling Zope-2.5.1 doesn't remove the Zope service, and when you install 2.6.0 the Zope service pointing to $INSTANCE_HOME/bin/lib/win32/pythonservice.exe no longer functions. Is there a workaround for this? (ie, a way to uninstall and reinstall the service). I've seen this happen on 3 zope machines, so it's reproducible. Virtual Host Monster does not work with the absolute_url()

I am finding that the Virtual Host Monster does not work with the absolute_url() method of several objects. It seems to work fine for all other things, but when I try to call the URL of an object like this..... <dtml-in "thismodel.getReports()"> <A HREF="<dtml-var "_['sequence-item'].absolute_url()">?assessmentid=<dtml-var thisassessment>" TARGET="_newer"><dtml-var "getTitleOrId()"></A> </dtml-in> It always returns the path back to the real root of Zope. It completely ignores that there is a Virtual Host Monster. I am certain that my Apache rewrites are ok, Ive been using it for many months with no problem. It is just the absolute_url() method that does not work. Any hints? Tom

XMLDocument

I am using the product XMLKit and its XMLDocument and XMLproxy. (have tried ParsedXML, but it doesn't seem to display my norwegian characters and I don't have time to look into that matter). XMLproxy works just the way i want it. now, inside this xml there is a few lines i want to extract: <CELL ROWSPAN="1" COLSPAN="1"> <emnekode>hfmv302 <A ID="pgfId-999230" /> </emnekode> </CELL> What i want from this is: <a href="some_url#pgfid-999230">hfmv302</a> when i add "emnekode" to the entities to view, nothing happens. However, if <A> contains data i may extract this by calling <dtml-var A> at the opening tag. I am puzzeled. First of all i would very much apreciate if somone could point me to any documentation on XMLKit. second: if somone understand what i want from the above text, maybe could tell me if I am on the right track when trying to extract data from the xml-document. Missing pyexpat.so in Zope 2.6 binary for linux

Hi! When I have a PageTemplate with a non-standard content type (text/vnd.wap.wml) I get an error: -- 8< -- Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Error Type: ImportError Error Value: cannot import name expat -- 8< -- It works on the Windows version but on linux (Zope-2.6.0-linux2-x86.tgz) I had to copy the file pyexpat.so from another Python2.1 installation. Is there a better way to do it? (Would compile my own solve this?) And where should I report the bug? / Johan Lübcke
