How do I integrate zope with apache

Hey there, I'm using linux 8.0 with KDE Desktop. I've got zope running on a medusa server at the moment, the one it came with. I've also got an apache server running and I was wondering how I can integrate the zope interface to be used with my linux apache server. I'm a total linux nub so go easy on me . ~Mosquito

Hello everyone, I'm new to LINUX, ZOPE, PYTHON, and this mailing list. I have a ZOPE server running on Linux and I'm trying to get my forums to work. They require PHP and mySQL both of which I have but I'm not sure how to install them into my ZOPE server. Any suggestions? ~Mosquito

privileges problem

Hello all, I'm tring to execute this script: lista = [] folder = container.indice2() #indice2 is a ZCatalog for file in folder: if not file.hasProperty('codice'): lista.append(file.id) attributes=getattr(folder, file) attributes.manage_addProperty('codice', 'inserted yet', 'string') return lista I borrowed the idea from the /Examples/GuestBook/addEntry script Zope prompts me for a user name and passwd, I type my usual account data (I'm the only user and I think I have full privileges) and BAM! Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: You are not allowed to access in this context Troubleshooting Suggestions * The URL may be incorrect. * The parameters passed to this resource may be incorrect. * A resource that this resource relies on may be encountering an error. I tried to give the script all the proxy roles I could I opened Control Panel/acl_users and gave manage property permission to managers and owners (I'm a manager user): NOTHING! WebDAV Functionality Question

Hello, I have Zope (2.5.1) installed and have the WebDAV server set up ( -W 8088) and working. I am using win2k web folders to connect to the webdav server. I can connect and browse just fine, but I get an error when I try copy a file from my win2k box to the server. Has anyone found a way around this. Thanks. Patrick

Zope-2.5.1 + OpenBSD-2.8

Howdy -- I am trying to install Zope-2.5.1, my OpenBSD-2.8, with Python-2.1.3, and it is failing? I did see an older post about using the a (thread) lib from OpenBSD-2.7 but I don't have 2.7? Is their another work around? TIA, David --

External Editor: upgrade from 0.2x to 0.3

Hy, after upgrading ExternalEditor to 0.3 I get this error. Error Type: TypeError Error Value: unsubscriptable object when pressing the pencil behind the objects. After Downgrading to 0.2 it's again working regards Harald

Problem with zope Server

I have rehat 7.2 server with zope web sever on it . The system has been working fine for a long time. I tried today to upload a .pdf file( 10 M) to an exsiting web page on the server and but failed. Dieter, Thanks for your reply. Direct Traversal is very limited - it works only for ZSQL method that returns one record. It is just a hack It returns a Record object, not even a Results: query/1 and query?ID=1 return diffent things. I could probably attach a Brain to a ZSQL method to merge data but I think that would be solving th problem from the wrong angle. The solution I am looking for would make data in the Zope Folder and data in the database (or other source) appear in the same way to ZMI and to scripts. Use of Zope

I was curious to see what everyone is using zope for. I would love to take a quick survey and see who is using Zope and why? I'll start it off. I'm using Zope for my company's website, and I chose it beause it was the cheapest solution, and it did everything we needed (templates, mysql integration, remote management, and fantastic code re-use possibilities) -jim
