I've got a Zwiki instance that works just fine. If I visit it at http://localhost:8080/wiki/RecentChanges?action=rss_rc I get a nice feed of all the recent changes. But I don't want to reach it by URL, I want to reach it programmatically. How do I do that?? "return self.wiki.RecentChanges()" gives an AttributeError. I've looked throught the sources but there's too much DTML magic and other getSkinTemplate() magic. Hello, I tried to install ZOPE from sources via "configure - make - make instance" but unfortunately I always get the following error message when typing in the "make" command. > > command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 > > -basherror:: command not found In my last message, I assumed that gcc was not installed. I derived this assumption from the error message The weird thing is that whenever I type in the command 'gcc'. There is always the following error message: 'No input files found' I am wondering why: If gcc was not installed, there should be an error message that is similar to 'command not found'. The output 'No input files found' implies that - in my opinion - gcc is actually installed. Upgrading from 2.7.6 to 2.8.1

Afternoon all, I'd like to upgrade our Zope/Plone/CMFPhotoAlbum/etc installation from 2.7.6 to 2.8.1. I'm having trouble performing the upgrade - I couldn't find any instructions on how to do it, and my attempt at a fresh install followed by a copy-over of the "var" and "Products" folders resulted in failure. Is there a document around that I've missed that describes what I should do? I'm also hoping that any help with this problem will indicate what the "important" files are in a Zope installation. This is because I need to make sure I have backups all sorted so that I can easily do a restore if/when the server goes bang. We're using Zope+Plone+others as our attempt at a new library, and so far the data weighs in at around 250 gig! The server is a HP ProLiant rackmount unit, driving a 8TB iSCSI storage unit, running Suse Linux 9.3 Pro. Well, at the individual test level, yeah, but I'm talking at the suite or even module level. I'm hardly going to go renaming a product folder and then have to globally change the product name in all referring code, that would be a huge mess. (Sure, I could use sed or whatever, but make one little mistake and you might have to wipe out your sandbox and start over from square one...) Accessing CURRENT property

Hello, if I have a folder1 in a folder2 and my folder 1 has a certain property. If I want to know if folder2 has the property I use hasattr() method on folder2, but it returns true because it looks down the hierarchy and sees the property in folder1. is there a way to check for the property in folder2 ONLY without checking the ancestor folders?. Testing products: pychecker running wild in the streets!

Hi folks, For the first time I'm playing with the "-c" argument to test.py. Thought it would be nice to get some pychecker output on the Products I'm working on. Is there any way to reduce the scope of what pychecker checks? Or does it inevitably walk through the whole import tree? Has anybody actually found the -c option useful? Any tips on using pychecker effectively for product development? Aside from the fact that it's bothersome to deal with the output, because pychecker wants to spew commentary on every little wart in the entire Zope codebase (2.7.7 in my case)- and it finds no shortage of them .... I guess I could filter the output with grep.... Thanks! Works great. how to use zeo under windows?

How do I best run zeo under windows ? When I use mkzeoctrl.py as I do under linux, only a runzeo file is generated which can not be used under windows. thanks robert
